Our Lakes
Lake Canterbury
Canterbury is 47 acres and is 35 feet deep. The dam was completed in 1973. It is fished in our tournaments as a “Split Tournament” along with another smaller lake. A tournament fished on two smaller lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Canterbury, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament.
Directions to ramp – 198 Lakeview Dr is the closest address (for GPS use) – The ramp on right side of dam and parking is across Lakeview.
Lake Catherine
Catherine is 38 acres and is 25 feet deep. It is fished in our tournaments as a “Split Tournament” along with another smaller lake. A tournament fished on two smaller lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Catherine, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament.
Directions to ramp – 129 Lake Shore Circle is the closest address to the ramp- Peavine to Lake Shore Circle (which is on the west end of the condos, the ramp is behind condos. Another tricky one to find.
Lake Dartmoor
Dartmoor is 201 acres and is 88 feet deep. The Dartmoor Dam was started in 1982 and completed in 1984. Several of our tournaments are fished on Dartmoor because it is the largest lake in FFG.
Directions to ramp – 556 Stonehenge Dr – Ramp at Marina
Lake Glastowbury
Glastowbury is 46 acres and is 80 feet deep. The dam was completed in 1979. Glastowbury is fished in the Bass Club tournaments. It is usually one of two lakes fished in a particular tournament. A tournament fished on two lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Glastowbury, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament.
Directions to the ramp – 115 Lafayette – is the closest address to the ramp. From St George Rd, take Manchester, left on Lafayette, right on Hunterwood, first left on gravel road. This is a difficult ramp to find because it is located on the opposite end of the lake from the dam.
Lake Kirkstone
Kirkstone is 21 acres and is 21 feet deep. The Kirkstone Dam was built in 1981. It is a lake the club fishes as one or our “Split Tournaments” along with another smaller lake. A tournament fished on two lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Kirkstone, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament.
Directions to the ramp – 14 Oakburn Ct is the closest address to the ramp. – Malvern road to the end turn right, ramp is on the right over small bridge. This is another tricky ramp to find because it’s past the dam near the spillway. |
Lake Malvern

Malvern is 13 acres and is 36 feet deep. The dam was built in 1977. It is fished in our tournaments as a “Split Tournament” along with another smaller lake. A tournament fished on two smaller lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Malvern, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament. Directions to the ramp – Westchester left on Hawes Circle, left on Tavistock, continue straight past Ridgeland Tr. turn right on to Wimberley and onto gravel, bear right to the ramp. Another fun ramp to find. |
Lake Oxford
Oxford is 5 acres and is 12 feet deep. It is not one of our tournament lakes because of the size.
Lake Pomeroy
Pomeroy is 25 acres and is 29 feet deep. The dam was built in 1974. It is fished in our tournaments as a “Split Tournament” along with another smaller lake. A tournament fished on two smaller lakes is called a “split tournament”. Later in the year a second tournament will be held on the same two lakes and every effort will be made to assign the members who fished on Pomeroy, for example, fish the other lake for the second split tournament.
Directions to ramp – 261 Bainbridge Rd is the closest address (for GPS use) – Ramp is on the right side of dam next to the spillway.
Lake Sherwood
Lake Sherwood is a 21 acre lake, 34 feet deep. The dam was built in 1976. Because of the size, Lake Sherwood is not fished in Bass Club Tournaments
Spring Lake
Spring Lake is an 11 acre lake, 18 feet deep and located just off Peavine on St. George. Fishing from the dam and fishing pier is very popular.
Because of the size, Spring lake is not fished in Bass Club Tournaments.
Directions to the boat ramp – 121 St George is the closest address (for GPS use) – The ramp is rather small and hidden on right side of parking lot.
Lake St George
St. George is 125 acres, 43 feet deep and the second largest in FFG. The Marina was built in 1979. Several of our tournaments are fished on St George because of it’s size.
Directions to ramp – Peavine to St George, left on Bradford and then into the marina at the end of the road.
